Climate systems is a university course that delves into the Earth's Energy Balance, Solar Radiation, Insolation and Distribution, Albedo Effect, Greenhouse Gases such as Carbon Dioxide, Methane, and Nitrous Oxide, as well as Heat Transfer Processes including Conduction, Convection, and Radiation. Students will also explore Atmospheric Composition and Structure, Atmospheric Pressure and Temperature, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies, Human Impacts on Climate Systems, Ocean Circulation and its Role in Climate, The Cryosphere and Climate Interactions, and Climate Models and Predictive Tools such as General Circulation Models (GCMs) and Paleoclimatology evidence from Earth's history.
